This little guy is 10 now and is strong, intelligent, bold and courageous. He knows he's unstoppable and he knows how to pray. We talk about everything including who likes who in 5th grade. A couple years ago we drove by a restaurant we used to frequent that had recently closed. He said "dad, why did they close?" I said " I don't know son, sometimes businesses struggle and can't survive". He said, "if your company ever gets in trouble, I'll open a lemonade stand and give you the money".
In that moment, I thought, yeah he's going to make it. He's watched his father run a company his entire life and he thinks like a producer, not a consumer. Something so simple was actually an incredibly powerful statement. He thought he'd help my business by starting and owning his own business. I was blown away and inspired by his matter of fact boldness. It made me reflect on how our children pay more attention to who we are and what we do than what we say. "Out of the mouth of babes....."
